PROGRAM POLICY

Refund / Cancellation Policy

  • After-School Programs: As per our Satisfaction Guarantee Policy, a full refund (less the cost of one class) will be provided if Broadway Rise Academy is notified 48 hours prior to the participant’s second class of the semester. After this period, no refunds or credits will be issued.

  • Summer Programs: A full refund less a $75 cancellation fee may be issued if requested before May 31st, 2024. After May 31st, 2024, no refunds will be given.

  • Workshops / Masterclasses: There are no refunds for workshops.

  • Camp Deposits: Deposits for camps are non-refundable. Cancellation must occur one month prior to the first day of camp to receive a refund on the remainder of the fee.

Make-Up Classes

  • After-School Programs: No make-up classes are available. Private lessons can be scheduled for an additional charge if extra help is required.

  • Summer Programs: No make-up classes will be provided, even in the event of inclement weather.

  • Workshops: No make-up classes are offered.

Inclement Weather Policy

  • If NYC schools are closed due to inclement weather, Broadway Rise Academy classes will also be canceled. No make-up classes or refunds will be provided.

Returned Checks

  • A $30 fee will be charged for each returned check.

Student Conduct

  • Broadway Rise Academy reserves the right to dismiss a student, without refund, whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of the Program Director, is not in the best interests of the class or program.

  • Hate Speech/Bullying: Broadway Rise Academy has a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech and bullying. Any student engaging in such behavior will be ejected from the program without a refund.

Parent Attendance

  • Parents/guardians are not permitted to view classes or workshops both to minimize distractions and to keep the building safe and secure

Student Attire

  • Students must wear appropriate attire for classes, including comfortable clothes that allow for movement and shoes suitable for dancing or movement (e.g. dance shoes, sneakers or sandals with straps.). Skirts and dresses can be worn with leggings or shorts underneath.

Health and Safety Policy

  • Students feeling ill or who have been exposed to COVID-19 within 5 days of an in-person program are not permitted to attend and must contact Broadway Rise Academy immediately. No refunds or credits will be offered in this instance.

  • Broadway Rise Academy may make changes to classes, calendars, policies, or procedures to protect the health and safety of the community, especially in connection with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Photography and Videography

  • Filming or photography by parents or students is not permitted. Broadway Rise Academy reserves the right to photograph or video classes for teaching purposes and promotional materials. Footage may be shared on appropriate viewing platforms, including social media.

Program Adjustments

  • Broadway Rise Academy reserves the right to cancel or adjust any class due to low enrollment or other necessary changes. In the event of such cancellations, the last registered students may be removed to meet capacity requirements.

Miscellaneous

  • Allergies: Broadway Rise Academy is a nut-free environment. Students must only bring nut-free snacks or lunches on the premises. Parents should notify the academy of any other allergies or health conditions before the program begins.

  • Attendance Commitment: For programs involving rehearsals for shows, a full session commitment is required. No pro-rating for missed days will be offered, although make-ups may be available under certain circumstances.

  • Faculty Substitutions: Broadway Rise Academy reserves the right to assign substitutes for workshops and classes if necessary, particularly for instructors who are active professionals in the entertainment industry.
